    The Norcross VISC1000 Viscosity Control System can monitor and control from 1 to 3 stations and features a touch screen interface that displays process parameters and trend data for each station. Displaying set-point, actual viscosity, alarms, and automatic/manual mode for each station, it provides real-time data logging and allows viscosity parameter changes on-the-fly. Suitable for all processes where viscosity is critical, the Norcross VISC1000 Viscosity Control System lets users change each station separately, such as air valve, solvent control parameters, set points, high-low alarms, and color-codes for ingredients. Trend plot software provides data logging for 1 hour up to 7 days and systems are available for up to 12 stations.

    Norcross Viscosity Measurement and Control Instruments are sensitive enough to detect changes in the viscosity of water, based upon temperature, and are capable of improving the blending, mixing, and color quality of virtually any fluid. Providing the sensitivity necessary to precisely match a user’s application, these viscosity control systems can be configured to control the viscosity of fluids ranging from only ½ CPS to over 1 million CPS. Featuring a variety of in-line and in-tank sensor options, Norcross Viscosity Measurement and Control Instruments can detect the difference in the viscosity of boiling water (0.284 CPS) and ambient water (1.06 CPS). Systems can range from one station to up to 10 stations and all controllers offer manual or automatic control.

    The ViscSense® Viscosity Control system features an intuitive touch screen controller and employs a compact acoustic wave sensor that can be installed in-line within a process, regardless of orientation, to continuously monitor viscosity and temperature. Unaffected by flow or vibration, this viscosity control system has no moving parts and can measure low shear viscosities from 0-600 mPa s and temperatures to 105°C, depending upon the material. Providing on-the-fly readouts in any cup value, the ViscSense® Viscosity Control System is suitable for use with low viscosity coatings or inks and applications with from one to 10 stations. Compatible with any PLC, the controller operates on 24 VDC and provides 4-20 mA, RS232, and CANBUS outputs. The sensor weighs 249 grams and has a ½ NPT pipe connection.
