Metering Components & Pumps

Perfect dispensing of adhesives, lubricants and silicone Metering components and pumps by DOPAG are used in various industries for applying low to high-viscosity media. They guarantee high precision and accurate repeatability regarding the discharged quantities.

The metering system requires either the use of a drum or a vessel pump for pumping the material out of the original containers to the metering station under pressure. There, the material is metered either via a metering valve or via an electrical volumetric meter.

DOPAG metering valves are available in different versions which are all based on the volumetric metering principle. These metering valves are capable of processing low to high-viscosity media such as adhesives, sealants, greases, oils, pastes, and silicones.

The electronic volumetric metering system, which features an unlimited volumetric metering capacity, is perfectly suited for metering systems with a discharge volume of more than 100 ml. It is also suited for machine or gearbox filling. The integrated metering quantity feedback is an ideal solution for automated applications.     DOPAG material pressure regulators are used to reduce the feed pressure down to the required operating pressure. As well as accurately regulating material pressure, these valves will also compensate for pulsations that occur as a result of the reciprocating action of piston pumps. Pulsations cause a brief decrease in pressure that could lead to a slight reduction in the flow of material. These regulators can be used on materials with viscosities from 5,000 to 500,000 mPa s. DOPAG material pressure regulators are manufactured with two different types of construction:

    MPR with piston
    This type of material pressure regulator is especially suitable for the processing of selflubricating materials such as greases and oils as well as single and plural component silicones. The sealing of the spring space takes place via a slide ring seal.

    MPR with membrane
    This type of material pressure regulator is most suitable for use with reactive, moisture sensitive and, because the ball and seat are manufactured from tungste n carbide, also abrasive media, such as, epoxy resins, polyurethanes and many other materials. The sealing of the spring space takes place via the membrane.

    The Micro-Flow Sensor is a flow detectingdevice, used within a semi or fully automated metering process, to detect whether material has been dispensed.The Micro-Flow Sensor does not control the metering volume.

    It is used particularly when handling unfilled grease with NLGI class 1 to 3, high viscosityoils or silicone-oils. The Micro-Flow Sensor can be adapted tothe DOPAG Micro and Mini metering valves aswell as to the 419 range of metering valves.

    The Micro-Flow Sensor detects whether material hasbeen dispensed or not, without contact with the material. An induced analogue measurement signal is amplified andforwarded to the electronic controller. The sensor is ableto capture up to 120 metering cycles per minute. Should the electronic controller fail to send a signal asa result of no material flow, the master control unit willactivate an alarm.

    Volumetric meters measure the volume flow of liquids based on the gear principle. The measuring unit is constructed for highest accuracy with precisely fitted gears. The rotation of the measuring unit is precisely detected by a contactless signal sensor system and then converted into digital signals.

    In the sections in which they are completely enclosed by the housing walls, the tooth gaps of the measuring unit gears form measuring unit chambers which digitalize the flow depending on their chamber volume.
