Piston Metering Systems

DOPAG piston pump metering and mixing systems feature a modular and customer-specific design. Therefore, different basic configurations are available with regard to the intended application and the requirements.

    Ceramix is used to handle low to high viscosity multi component materials. They can be filled as well as abrasive. Due to its compatibility and modularity, two or more ceradis single component piston metering systems can be connected by simply using a mixing block onto the outlet of which a plastic mixer is mounted. Just a suitable material supply and metering unit is required. The material can be processed by either shot dispensing or continuous flow.

    The economix range of systems are compact, solvent free, pneumatically driven piston pump metering and mixing systems. They are used to continuously apply low to medium viscosity multiple component materials such as poxies, polyurethanes and silicones within a mixing ratio of 100:100 to 100:16. The material can be filled as well as abrasive. The material is either supplied from pressure vessels.

      Functions

    Pressure vessels mounted onto a portable chassis, are used to supply the material into the piston type metering pumps. The pumps are driven by a single air motor. A lever system connects pumps and drive. The pump for the A component is fixed to the lever system and shares the same stroke length as the drive motor, whereas the pump for the B component is movable along the lever system and thus has a variable stroke length which is used for the fine adjustment of the mixing ratio. The economix is fitted with a static mixing system that includes a 2K valve combined with a disposable static mixer. The valve contains an infinitely adjustable �snuffer� effect to avoid dripping after metering has finished. Should mixed material be allowed to cure in the mixer, it can be replaced simply and inexpensively, thus avoiding a time consuming, expensive and environmentally damaging flushing cycle.

    The silcomix PE200 is a compactly designed, electrically driven piston pump, metering and mixing system. It is used for continuous processing of medium to high-viscosity, silicone-based media with a mixing ratio of 100:100. Metering is carried out directly from the original containers with a size of 5,28 or 52,8 gal.

      SWIPSYNC

    The servo-electrical drive allows for the synchronous changeover between the piston metering pumps, independently of the current position of the related pump piston. This prevents the mixing ratio from shift ing due to diff erent changeover positions. An even drum drainage of the A and B component is granted by the needs-oriented automatic adjustment of the volume flows of the single components via the stroke speed of the piston metering pumps. At the same time, a special control of the servo drives significantly reduces the drop of the pressure and thus of the volume flow while also cutting down on the time required.

      Function

    Pressure vessels, mounted onto a portable chassis, are used to supply the material into the piston type metering pumps where they are proportioned at the pre-selected ratio. The pumps are driven by an air motor. The stroke of the air motor is transferred to the pumps via a lever system. The mixing ratio can be infinitely adjusted between its limits by means of the lever system. The system is controlled by a metering computer.

    The variomix A is fitted with a static mixing system that includes a 2K valve combined with a disposable static mixer.     Control unit
    To control these systems a metering computer with touch screen terminal is used. With this metering computer all applications that can be achieved with vectomix can be parameterised and different metering processes can be memorised.

    The control unit is wired into a control cabinet. The metering computer can also handle applications where a speed proportional material supply is required, for example in combination with a robot.
